A Central Coast man says his decade has been made after receiving the life-changing news today that he won $200,000 in the latest Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The regular New South Wales player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1233, drawn Tuesday 26 February 2019. The man’s entry also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting his total win to $201,000.
A NSW Lotteries official contacted the winner this afternoon to break the mind-blowing news.
“Are you serious?” he questioned with laughter.
“Oh my god. My god. Thank you very much!
“I had no idea at all.
“How much did you say? Two hundred and one thousand dollars? Wow. Thank you so much.
“I’m absolutely ecstatic!
“I don’t know what to say to be honest.
“I’m pinching myself, hoping this isn’t a prank call.
“You’ve made my day, week, month, year and my decade!”
The man revealed he’d been purchasing entries into Lucky Lotteries draws for decades.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries since I was 20. My wife always makes me buy the tickets because she says I’m the lucky one. Now that has really proved to be true,” he explained.
“To be honest I really don’t know what I’ll do with my prize.
“I’ve never thought about having a spare $200,000.
“I’ve got no idea, I’m so shocked. I think I need to sit down.
“I’m probably a step closer to retirement now and this could lead my wife into an early retirement as well, which would be fantastic.
“This is just sensational.
“I really don’t know what to say. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of five consecutive numbers at Lakeside Newsagency, Shop 25, Lakeside Shopping Centre, 78-94 The Entrance Road, The Entrance.
Lakeside Newsagency owner Philip Chen said he was over the moon for his customer.
“This is very exciting news for us because it’s been a while since we sold a winning entry. It’s been about five years,” he said.
“I’m so proud of our outlet for selling this entry.
“My customers keep coming in today and telling me my middle name should be ‘Lucky’!
“I hope this is the first of many winning entries to be sold by my team!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $44.92 million for draw 1234 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $3.62 million for draw 10274.
