It’s possible someone in the Ku-ring-gai Council area has woken up completely unaware they won the entire $30 million Oz Lotto jackpot in last night’s draw and have become an instant multi-millionaire.
The mystery New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1548, drawn Tuesday 17 October 2023. They take home the entire $30 million jackpot.
The winning entry was sold at a NSW Lotteries outlet in the Ku-ring-gai Council, in Northern Sydney.
So far this year, 13 Oz Lotto division one wins have scored more than $233 million in prize money.
In addition to the sole division one win, there were a total of 485,296 prizes worth more than $11.43 million won in divisions two to seven in last night’s Oz Lotto draw. Among those winners were 12 division two winners who each took home a $34,953.75 prize.
The winning entry was unregistered, meaning lottery officials must wait for the mystery ticketholder to discover their life-changing news and come forward to claim their prize.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said someone’s life had completely changed last night, but they might not yet have realised it.
