An Erina resident or visitor has started the New Year as a newly minted multi-millionaire after scoring more than $2.1 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, though they may not know it yet.
The mystery ticketholder held one of the 14 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4535, drawn Saturday 4 January 2025. Each division one winning entry can look forward to $2,142,857.15.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their newfound treasure.
Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Nextra Erina Market, Shop T094 Erina Fair, 620 - 658 Terrigal Drive, Erina.
Nextra Erina Market manager Katy McHugh said she was over the moon to hear the team had sold a division one winning entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
“I messaged my co-workers when I heard the good news and we’re all so excited!” she said.
“We have put some posters up already and we’re carefully checking all tickets that come through!
“We hope this unregistered winner comes forward soon and we can’t wait to celebrate when they do.
“Congratulations to our winner and thank you for supporting Nextra Erina Market!”
The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said she hoped the region’s latest division one winner checked their ticket and came forward soon.
“Whoever is holding this golden ticket may have no idea they’re starting 2025 as a brand-new multi-millionaire!” she said.
“As the entry is not registered, it could be someone local or someone visiting the area. It may have even been a Christmas gift.
“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Nextra Erina Market to check their tickettoday.
“Just imagine how incredible it would be to discover you’re the winner we’re searching for! With more than $2 million heading your way, your plans for 2025 would certainly be boosted.
“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 as soon as possible to begin the exciting prize claim process.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4535 on 4 January 2025 were 33, 19, 8, 23, 10 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 13.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4535 – six each in Victoria and New South Wales, and two in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 251 so far in FY25, including 69 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY24, Saturday Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 292 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
