Santa has come early for one Gold Coast resident or visitor who scored $4.8 million in last night’s Set for Life draw – but first, they need to check their ticket!
The mystery Queensland winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 2331, drawn Thursday 23 December 2021. They take home the prize of $4.8 million, paid in instalments of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
The winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news. Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.
So far in 2021, there have been 16 division one wins on the Gold Coast collectively worth more than $56.4 million.
The winning entry was purchased at Mudgeeraba Newsagency, Shop 23, Mudgeeraba Markets, 3 Swan Lane, Mudgeeraba.
Mudgeeraba Newsagency owner Lyne Woods said she was thrilled to deliver an early Christmas treat to one of her customers.
“It’s wonderful!” she exclaimed.
“It’s a very good Christmas gift.
“We’ve sold a few shares in division one winning syndicates, but this is a great big win.
“I hope the winner checks their ticket soon. If you hear screams coming from the Gold Coast, you’ll know we’ve found our winner!”
The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eager to unite the mystery winner with their prize.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Set for Life ticket from Mudgeeraba Newsagency to check their tickets today. I’m not sure what else you’re getting for Christmas, but this could be the present of the year,” he said.
“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize too!

The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 2331 on Thursday 23 December 2021 were 36, 30, 28, 34, 16, 22 and 40, while the supplementary numbers were 1 and 11.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 2331 – the entry from Queensland.
This marks the 91 Set for Life division one winner nationally since the game began and the 21 Set for Life division one winner so far this calendar year.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 217 so far this financial year, including 48 won by Golden Casket customers.
