A Benalla resident or visitor started the new financial year as a division one winner after scoring $580,000 in a recent TattsLotto draw – they just don’t know it yet.

The elusive player held one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4273, drawn Saturday 2 July 2022, and takes home a division one prize of $580,525.35.

However, the winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-enhancing news.

Instead, they’re waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.

Their life-enhancing entry was purchased at Benalla Pharmacy, 83 Bridge Street, Benalla.

Benalla Pharmacy manager Electra Gercovich said she was hoping to hear from their latest major prize winner soon.

“We’re really excited and can’t wait to find our winner,” she said.

“This is wonderful news for us and, of course, our entire small, tight-knit community.

“In November 2021, we sold two division one winning entries in one night! We can’t wait to keep the winning streak alive.

“We would like to congratulate our mystery winner and hope they check their tickets soon.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eager to unite the region’s latest division one winner with their life-enhancing prize.

“It’s likely this winner has been going about their month as normal with no idea they’ve won more than half a million dollars!” she said.

“From old shopping bags and fridge doors, to car gloveboxes and sock drawers, our unregistered division one winners have hidden their tickets in weird and wonderful places.

“We wouldn’t be surprised if the elusive winner had placed their ticket in a safekeeping spot and forgotten about it.

“We’re urging all lottery players who purchased a TattsLotto entry from Benalla Pharmacy to check their tickets today.

“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won $580,000! The plans for the rest of the year would change.

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4273 on 2 July 2022 were 17, 15, 10, 42, 31 and 37, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 11.
