An East Devonport resident or visitor is certain to have a cracking weekend – if only they would check their Monday & Wednesday Lotto entry and discover they are a newly-minted millionaire.
The mystery winner holds the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3867, drawn Wednesday 8 May 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
The ticket is unregistered, so Tatts officials have no way of contacting the winner with the life-changing news and have to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
It is the third division one winning entry to land in Tasmania in the past six days.
The winning entry was purchased at East Devonport Newsagency, 71 Wright St, East Devonport.
East Devonport Newsagency owner Jasmine Burton said the team at her outlet were excited that one of their customers had won a life-changing amount of money.
“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry since we bought the store three and a half years ago,” she explained.
“We’ll be decorating the store to ensure all of our customers know we’ve sold a division one winning entry.
“We are sure they will be happy for the winner and it will give them hope that they too can win big.
“We hope the winner checks their ticket soon so that the win can bring them joy and give them the ability to live a more comfortable life.”
