The search for the country’s newest multi-millionaire has been narrowed down to the southern Sydney region of Macarthur, with one player from the area taking home last night’s entire $50 million Oz Lotto jackpot.

The Lott earlier revealed a single New South Wales entry was the only division one winning entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw 1339 on Tuesday 15 October 2019.

The winning entry, purchased at a NSW Lotteries retail outlet in the Macarthur region, was not registered to a player card so officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the ticketholder to break the life-changing news.

The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer urged all residents of, or visitors to, the Macarthur region of southern Sydney to check their tickets.

“There is a good chance one player has woken up this morning $50 million richer and they just don’t know it!” she exclaimed.

“Instead of heading off to work or dropping the kids to school, they could be busy planning their future as a multi-millionaire. Imagine how much your life would change if you realised you were $50 million richer.

“There are 50 million reasons why all Macarthur region players who had an entry in last night’s draw should check their ticket this morning.

“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!”

Ms Spencer also reminded players of the importance of registering their tickets to a player card.

“We were standing by the phone last night to call any registered division one winners and break the life-changing news but unfortunately we had no way of reaching our newest multi-millionaire,” she said.

“That is why we recommend all players register their entries to our free membership service to ensure their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.

“We are in the business of paying prizes and cannot wait to unite our newest winner with their windfall.”

This is the 10th division one winning entry in Oz Lotto so far this year.  These 10 division one winning entries have shared $285 million in division one prize money.

A total of 816,593 prizes worth more than $67.8 million were won across all divisions. This includes 12 division two winners who each landed $42,198.10.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, there were 17 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $334 million.  During this time, the biggest Oz Lotto jackpot was $80 million on 25 June 2019, which was won by two division one winning entries that took home $40 million each.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1339 were 5, 32, 22, 13, 20, 25 and 42, while the supplementary numbers were 21 and 23.

The Lott’s division one winning tally across all Australian lottery games has now reached 291 so far this calendar year.
