A Rosebery resident’s week could be turned upside-down in the most exciting way imaginable if they check their Oz Lotto entry and discover they’re suddenly $11 million richer.

The mystery Sydney ticketholder held the only division one winning entry across Australia in Oz Lotto draw 1435, drawn Tuesday 17 August 2021, taking home the entire jackpot prize of $11,002,697.57

The multi-million-dollar winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner and have to wait for them to check their ticket.

The life-changing entry was purchased at Rosebery North Newsagency, 68 Dalmeny Avenue, Rosebery.

Rosebery North Newsagency manager Min Chai said he couldn’t wait to break the news to the division one winner.

“It’s incredible to see one of our customers walk away with such a massive prize,” he said.

“It’s so exciting for us and our community.

“It’s been a little while since we last sold a division one winning entry, so we couldn’t be happier!”

The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said the mystery Oz Lotto winner added to the list of unclaimed division one prizes in Sydney.

“We’re certainly hoping to hear from Sydney’s latest multi-millionaire very soon,” she said.

“Currently in Sydney, there are now five unclaimed division one prizes that have been won during the past five weeks.

“They are all unregistered entries, which means the ticket wasn’t registered to a player card, so we have no way of contacting the winning ticketholder.

“It’s certainly unusual to see so many unclaimed division prizes from the one region, but understandably, people’s routines have been significantly impacted in Sydney, and players may not have had the chance to check their tickets as they normally do.

“We’re reminding people that you can check your lottery tickets without leaving home on The Lott app or website.

“If you do realise you’re holding a division one winning entry, please call us on 131 866 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
