The search is on for the Wyee region’s newest millionaire, after a player who purchased a ticket in Wyee won division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.
The mystery millionaire held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3822, drawn Monday 3 December 2018, winning the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
As the entry was unregistered, NSW Lotteries officials have no way to contact the winner with the dream-come-true news and have to wait for them to come forward and claim their prize.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Lauren Cooney is urging players in the region to check their tickets today.
“If you bought a ticket in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw, we promise it could be absolutely worthwhile for you to check your ticket,” she said.
“You could be our mystery millionaire! Imagine how your plans for the festive season could change after you discover you’re $1 million richer.”
The million-dollar winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket was purchased from Foodworks Wyee, Shop 5, Wyee Shopping Centre, 123 Wyee Road, Wyee.
Foodworks Wyee owner David Southwood said it was an exciting day in store.
“My heart starts pumping every time I check a ticket,” he confessed.
“I would love to see the reaction of our customer when they find out they’ve won $1 million!
“It’s been around 12 years since the outlet has sold a division one winning entry, so as you could imagine, we are very excited.”
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto have created 171 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3822 on Monday 3 December 2018 were 22, 40, 7, 44, 42 and 36, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 37.
Across Australia, there were only two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3822.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 164 so far this financial year, including 52 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In the 12 months to 30 June 2018, there were 73 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won $73 million.
