A Chester Hill woman has her sights set on a trip to Fiji after scratching one of the top prizes on a $1 Happy Camper Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The winning ticket was purchased at Supanews Xpress Bankstown, Shops M1 207 Centro Bankstown, North Terrace, Bankstown.

Sharing her joy with a NSW Lotteries official this morning the happy winner recounted how she came to hold the winning ticket.

“I hadn’t bought an Instant Scratch-Its for ages,” she explained.

“I was out shopping the other day and thought I’d grab a couple. I grabbed a few and when I scratched them I won $5 and $3.

“I used the winnings of those ones to buy another few $1 Instant Scratch-Its tickets and it was on one of those that I won.

“I had to look at it a million times. I was counting the zeros and double counting the zeros.

“I made my daughter come and check it too to make sure I was seeing it right.

“I’m so excited! I have never won anything like this!

“I called and messaged my husband about a thousand times and when he called me back he asked me what was wrong.

“He thought something bad had happened to our kids but when I told him we’d won $10,000 he said ‘you’re kidding’!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her instant windfall the overjoyed winner declared she had her sights set on a tropical holiday to Fiji.

“We’ll probably take a holiday!” she exclaimed.

“I’d love to take my daughter overseas so we’ll probably go to Fiji.

“Then we’ll use the rest to upgrade a few things around the house and the kids always need something new!”

Supanews Xpress Bankstown owner Shahida Khan said they were thrilled to have sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

“We’ve been busy in store decorating the outlet to celebrate our win!” they exclaimed.

“Over the past three years we’ve sold three major prize winning entries so this will be our fourth!

“The last major prize we sold was a division one winning entry in Monday and Wednesday Lotto in February this year.

“We wish our customer all the best with their win!”

In 2018, 155 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners collectively took home more than $14.26 million.

During this same time, 25,716,051 winners pocketed more than $205.8 million across all Instant Scratch-Its prize tiers.
