After nine days of eagerly waiting, Tatts officials were today able to confirm the life-changing win with Hobart’s mystery winner as they finally came forward to claim their $23.3 million prize.

The mystery winner held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1310, drawn Tuesday 26 March 2019 and takes home a division one prize of $23,333,333.34.

The winning ticket was unregistered, which means Tatts officials had no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

However, how the winner plans to enjoy their multi-million dollar windfall, and why it took them nine days to come forward, will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate the massive win in private.

Tatts spokesperson Lauren Cooney declared her relief at being able to unite the winner with their prize.

“While we may never know how the winner plans to enjoy their Oz Lotto prize, what we do know is we are ecstatic to be able to unite the rightful ticket owner with this life-changing win.

“We were as eager as everyone to find our mystery winner and we are so pleased they have come forward to claim their prize so they can start to enjoy this amazing windfall.

“Other Oz Lotto winners tell us that their multi-million dollar prizes give them financial freedom for life. Many share the windfall with their family and loved ones, others use it to travel our sunburnt country and some tell us it helps them achieve the great Australian dream of owning their own home.

“However our winner plans to spend their windfall, we know it will change their plans for the future!”

The winning ticket was purchased at Hobart City Lotto, Shop 2, Wellington Centre, 40-44 Argyle Street, Hobart.

Hobart City Lotto owner David Mills said he was thrilled to hear the winner had come forward to claim their prize.

“Very good!” he exclaimed.

“It has been busy in store over the last few days and everyone has been interested to see if they have come forward yet.

“Now we’ll be able to tell them they have and I’m sure most people will be pleased to know the winner has come forward.

“We wish them all the best with their prize!’

Tatts reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Tatts Card so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.

In 2018, there were 20 division one winning Oz Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $253.7 million.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1310 on Tuesday 26 March 2019 were 12, 28, 24, 29, 9, 18 and 25. The supplementary numbers were 13 and 31.
