An entry inspired by a glance at the clock has made a Rosanna man a millionaire from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Melbourne man in his 50s held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3993, drawn Saturday 26 October 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1,007,593.45.

Speaking to a Tatts official this morning to confirm his win, the happy winner said he was trying his best to stay calm and collected.

“I discovered it yesterday on my way to work, but I just wanted to let it all sink in first,” he explained.

“I was just taking it in. I was in a daze. It didn’t seem real!

“It’s excellent!”

The winner confessed he wasn’t a regular TattsLotto player but a series of coincidences prompted him to get an entry into the weekend’s draw.

“I was at work the other day and I happened to glance at the time. For some reason, I just remembered that time,” he said.

“When I do play TattsLotto I usually just buy a QuickPick, but I remembered the clock and used those numbers to select my favourite games.

“If I hadn’t done that I wouldn’t have won.”

With more than a million dollars about to land in his bank account, the man admitted he had been happily contemplating how he might use his prize.

“I didn’t sleep much last night just thinking about it,” he laughed.

“It feels nice to know I’m a millionaire. Then I look at the bills and I might not be a millionaire for long – not after I’ve paid off the mortgage.

“It will be a good thing to have the mortgage off my back – just to get all the business out of the way before spending it in a more pleasurable way.”

The ecstatic man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning marked 10-game entry at Banyule Newsagency, 55 Greville Road, Rosanna.

Banyule Newsagency owner William Wang congratulated his regular customer on scoring a division one prize.

“It’s wonderful news. We are very happy he won division one,” he said.

“We’ve had a few big wins lately. In April this year, we sold two division one winning shares in a Monday & Wednesday Lotto syndicate, and in June last year we sold a division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto.

“It’s always good to see our customers win.”

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto created 193 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3993 on Saturday 26 October 2019 were 31, 28, 7, 45, 29 and 2, while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 38.

Across Australia, there were four division one entries in TattsLotto draw 3993  – two from Victoria and one each from New South Wales and Queensland

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 306 so far this calendar year, including 119 won by Tatts customers.

In the 12 months to 30 June 2019, there were 244 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $286.6 million.
