A Coolalinga grandma is ready to “do what we want to do when we want to do it” after revealing a $100,000 prize on her Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The top prize-winning $5 Mystery Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Unique Gifts and Newsagents, Coolalinga Central, 425 Stuart Highway, Coolalinga.
“I bought this for myself. I like the Crosswords ones – they’re the only ones I buy,” the happy winner shared when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“I was at home, scratching it and I looked at it and thought, ‘sh*t - $10,000!’. I swore in my excitement!”
“I then told my daughter I’d just won $10,000 and she looked at the ticket and said, ‘Mum, you’ve stuffed up. You’ve missed a word. You’ve won $100,000!’.
“I was excited about $10,000 and then I got even more excited by $100,000!
“I’ll give the kids a little – we’ll give them 50 cents each and tell them not to spend it all at once,” she laughed.
“We might go on a cruise and holiday. We’ll use it for our retirement. We’ll do what we want to do when we want to do it. This gives you the freedom to do what you want to do!”
