A Coonabarabran shopper has scratched their way to a vastly different future after discovering they’d won an incredible $100,000 prize.

The Coonabarabran player’s winning $5 Emerald 7s Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Coonabarabran Newsagency, 65 John Street, Coonabarabran.

However, the ways in which the winner’s future will change will forever remain a mystery as the successful scratcher has chosen to remain anonymous.

The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said it was incredible to see this $100,000 prize land in Coonabarabran and was sure the winner’s plans for 2024 and beyond would be upgraded.

“How amazing would it be to scratch away a $100,000 win!” he said.

“We know past players have bought dream cars, homes or booked overseas holidays.

“Whatever this winner chooses to do, I’m sure they’re going to have a fantastic future!”

Coonabarabran Newsagency manager Melinda Thompson said the entire team was over the moon and wished their winner all the best for the future.

“We’ve all been so excited! It’s wonderful news,” she said.

“We will be celebrating all week! We will let our customers know in-store and post on our socials about this fantastic milestone for our store and magic moment for our customer.

“Congratulations to our winner and we hope this makes a few dreams of yours become reality.”
