Ditching a toast of bubbles, a Redbank Plains man has revealed his first splurge after discovering his $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its win was a Gold Class cinema treat.

The Ipswich resident’s $5 Crosswords Corners Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Collingwood Park Newsagency, Shop 110, Level 1, Redbank Plaza Shopping Centre, 1 Collingwood Drive, Redbank.

When an official from The Lott rang to confirm his prize, the winning man shared the surprise win had left him mind-blown.

“I still can’t believe it,” he said when speaking with The Lott.

“I keep going over and over it in my head.

“I always use spare change in my wallet to buy a few Instant Scratch-Its tickets.

“I’m used to winning the odd $50 here and there, so $100,000 blew my mind.

“It’ll make a big change, that’s for sure.

“I’m still trying to come to terms with the win.

“I was heading to the movies and thought, why not treat myself to Gold Class tickets? It’s not every day that you win $100,000.”

Collingwood Park Newsagency shift supervisor Tamika Carpenter shared she was excited to hear her outlet had sold an Instant Scratch-Its top prize-winning ticket worth $100,000.

“I was a mix of surprised and excited for our community when I first discovered we’d sold a top prize-winning ticket,” she said.

“We will be decorating our store with banners to celebrate the milestone. We’re so excited to share the news with our lovely community.

“Congratulations to our winner. I hope you spoil you and your family!”
