It’s been more than one month since a Cootamundra player won a life-enhancing $200,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw but the mystery winner has yet to come forward and claim their life-enhancing prize.

The Riverina region player held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1712, drawn Thursday 14 August 2025. They look forward to a total prize of $200,000.

If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.

Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.

The 1st Prize winning entry was purchased at Mawhood Supa IGA Cootamundra, 145-149 Parker Street, Cootamundra.

Mawhood Supa IGA Cootamundra store manager Rachel Janssen shared she hoped the mystery winner would come forward soon and could start enjoying their prize.

“We’re over the moon to hear we’ve sold a 1st Prize winning entry and we’re hoping it’s a regular customer who comes forward to claim the prize,” she said.

“We can’t believe we’re now in September more than a month since the draw, and we still haven’t heard anything from this major lottery winner!

“I noticed there’s been lots of wins around the Riverina region as of late and I’m thinking the community must be on a winning streak.

“Congratulations to our mystery winner. We hope you check your ticket soon and can enjoy your awesome win.”

The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said the mystery winner was likely oblivious to the fact they’d taken home $200,000 in one of last month’s Lucky Lotteries draws.

“Imagine not knowing you won $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot for an entire month! That’s the reality for one Riverina player,” she said.

“While we’ve been unable to confirm the major prize win with the winner, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their news, they’ll be jumping for joy.

“We’re encouraging anybody who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket from Mawhood Supa IGA Cootamundra to check their ticket as soon as possible because they could be the mystery winner we’re searching for!

“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you do discover that you’re holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.

“This is a great reminder to all lottery players to register your ticket to The Lott Members Club because if you scored a life-changing prize, we could call you immediately after the draw with the exhilarating news.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $12.88 million for draw 1719, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $500,000 for draw 11040.

In FY25, 182 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot Prize winning entries across Australia won more than $20.5 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In FY25, more than 123.8 million winners took home more than $4.1 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including Saturday Lotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.66 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.  As part of its commitment to supporting the community, The Lott proudly supports Play For Purpose, the not-for-profit charity raffle that gives Australians the chance to win while helping more than 500 causes across the country.
