A Crestmead woman has stepped into the new year with a newfound understanding of the word speechless after winning $100,000 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

The top prize-winning $5 Christmas Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at TSG Crestmead, Shop 8A, 55 Waratah Drive, Crestmead.

“I was speechless, and that’s hard to do because I never shut up!” the winning woman laughed when speaking to an official from The Lott.

“I only really buy $5 Instant Scratch-Its tickets. They’re my favourite.

“I went home and scratched the Instant Scratch-Its ticket in my kitchen.

“I scratched away and saw I had a few words here and there.

“I originally thought I only had nine words and that was enough to leave me gobsmacked!

“I took my ticket to a family member, and they looked over the ticket at least three times and told me that I had 10 words.

“I even took out a piece of paper and wrote down the words and letters to make sure!

“I haven’t really thought about what I’m going to do to celebrate.

“No one in my family has ever won a significant amount, I’m the first.

“It’s going to help make life easy.

“My family’s Christmas and birthdays are sorted this year.

“I think now it’s starting to sink in.

“Thank you so much.”

The TSG Crestmead team said they were over-the-moon to have sold a top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket and wish their winner all the best for the future.
