A St Albans shopper has finished the week on a high, scratching one of the top prizes of $150,000 on a $10 Jumbo Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Winning Lotteries St Albans, 59 Alfredia Street, St Albans.
To win the top prize, the Melburnian revealed 13 complete words on the Jumbo Crosswords ticket.
However, the puzzle of how the winning wordsmith plans to enjoy their windfall will forever remain unsolved as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Winning Lotteries St Albans owner Cindy Mai said she was thrilled to sell her first major prize winning ticket for the year.
“We are very happy for our customer! It’s a great time to win a prize so we hope they are very happy too!” she exclaimed.
“We had a winning year last year as we sold a few division one prizes, but this is our first major prize for 2020.
“We’ve owned the business for six years and even though we’ve sold other prizes, this is the first Instant Scratch-Its top prize we’ve sold.
“We hope it is the start of many more for our customers!”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she was sure the Victorian player was delighted by their win.
“What an excellent time to score an instant win of $150,000!” she exclaimed.
“While we don’t know how our winner will enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they’ll will be smiling from ear to ear knowing their bank balance is about to balloon by a few extra zeroes.
