Four days after the draw a Croydon player has come forward to claim a $702,000 division one prize from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian winner held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4031, drawn Saturday 7 March 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $702,073.82.
The winning entry was unregistered, so officials from the Lott had no way of contacting the winner and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
How the winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate their win in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Burnt Bridge News & Lotto, Shop 8, 434 Maroondah Highway, Croydon.
Burnt Bridge News & Lotto owner Nathaniel Henderson said he was thrilled his customer had been united with their life-changing prize.
“I was estatic when I discovered our outlet had sold a division one winning prize!” he exclaimed.
“The first thing I did was call my Mum and Dad, who also own the store, and let them know we’d sold the first division one win since we took over in 2017.
“We will be celebrating in store by putting balloons up and having a party. All of our locals and regulars will be excited for us.
“We have such a great community of customers at our store and I know all of them will be as equally happy for us as they are for the winner.
“The outlet has had a total of seven division one winning entries but this is the first one since we took over the store.
“We are really hoping this is the start of a winning streak for our store.
“Congratulations to our winner. We are so pleased they have claimed their prize. We hope they enjoy every moment of the win and good luck to them.
“We also want to say good luck to all of our customers for the coming weeks with plenty of offers coming up and thank them for their ongoing support!”
