A Mornington Penninsula man has declared he has won ‘just the right amount’ after scoring division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The Victorian winner held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4031, drawn Saturday 7 March 2020. Each entry took home a division one prize of $702,073.82.

Confirming the life-changing news with an official from the Lott this morning, the stoked bloke recounted how he discovered the exciting news.

“I’m very excited! It’s just awesome!” he exclaimed.

“This week I just had a feeling that I would have a win so I grabbed a QuickPick.

“I don’t put tickets on very often so I’d forgotten to check my ticket. I was just watching footy yesterday afternoon when I remembered I’d bought an entry so I logged on to my account and saw I had had a win.

“I thought I must have won about $25 or something so I scrolled down my ticket to see how many numbers I had and saw that I had six in a row. I couldn’t believe it.

“I don’t win things like that. Ever! I must be the unluckiest person ever! It’s not that way any more though my luck is changing!

“This is absolutely life-changing. It’s just awesome!

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the winner declared it was ‘just the right amount’ to realise his long-held dream of owning a home debt free.

“I’ve been renting and never been able to get on the property ladder so I’m going to buy myself a house!” he declared.

“It’s just the right amount. It’s not too much but it’s enough that I can buy a house, which is all I’ve ever wanted to do.

“I’ll still keep working but it will take the pressure off for the future knowing I’ll be debt free.

“I also will get myself a new car. I’ve been eyeing off a Mustang so I think I’ll get one of those.

“I also want to go on a holiday next year so will put some money aside for a big overseas trip too.”

The thrilled winner also revealed his plans for celebrating his life-changing win.

“As soon as I discovered the news, I called all of my family and they were all so rapt for me,” he explained.

“We are going on a family holiday at the end of the month anyway so it will be another chance to get together and celebrate.”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 36-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
