A Firle man has taken a trip down memory lane after winning another major lottery prize a year after his first – this time taking home $50,000 in a recent Keno draw.

The East Adeliade resident scored the Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 231213 748, drawn Wednesday 13 December 2023.

The South Australian remained cool, calm and collected when an official from The Lott called to confirm the windfall, explaining that it wasn’t his first rodeo.

“It’s great news,” he laughed.

“I bought a $5 Instant Scratch-Its ticket this time last year and the team member at the counter misheard me and gave me a different one to the one I had initially asked for.

“But I said to him, ‘Don’t worry, you’ve scanned it in so I might as well take it now’. I went home and scratched it with my wife, and we won $100,000!

“Fast forward 12 months later and I won this $50,000 prize on Keno. I can’t believe it!

“I only ever play Keno or Instant Scratch-Its – they’re my favourite.

“I feel as though this win was slowly brewing because I won $5,000 four times in the recent month. I’m very grateful. It will make for a great new year.

“Thank you so much.”

His winning marked entry was purchased at Firle Newsagency, Shop 7/193 Glynburn Road, Firle.

The Firle Newsagency team said they’re overjoyed to have sold a major Keno winning entry to a local customer and wish him all the best with his prize.
