A Bairnsdale woman was left shaky and questioning reality after receiving the winning news she’d scooped up $100,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries draw.

The East Gippsland resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10983, drawn Wednesday 21 May 2025. She looks forward to $100,000.

So far in 2025, there have been eight major lottery wins in the Gippsland region collectively totalling more than $4.5 million in prize money.

The stunned winner initially dodged phone calls from an official at The Lott, struggling to wrap her head around the life-enhancing news.

“I just checked my ticket. Oh my god!” the winning woman cheered.

“I’m just so amazed and shaky right now.

“Sorry for declining your calls earlier. I didn’t want to believe the good news.

“I thought I’d check my ticket online first to see if it was real. I kept reloading my ticket to check it wasn’t a glitch.

“I grabbed my husband right away. He was jumping with joy and so excited.

“It’s going to help us a lot. We’ll be able to wipe out our bills and share some love with our family.”

Her winning entry of one random number was purchased at Service Street Convenience, 21 Service Street, Bairnsdale.

Service Street Convenience manager Ajay Chaganti shared he was thrilled to hear the outlet had sold a 1st Prize winning ticket worth $100,000 and couldn’t wait to share the good news with the local community.

“It’s really exciting news to hear we’ve sold a 1st Prize winning ticket in Lucky Lotteries,” he said.

“We’ve only owned the outlet for three months, so it’s just incredible news for us and our customers.

“We’ve already been celebrating the news in-store with lollies and chocolates. We will be doing everything possible to share the good news with our local community.

“We hope to see more wins and more happy customers in the future.

“Best of luck to our latest winner and we hope you enjoy everything your prize offers you.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $6.04 million for draw 1703, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $18.70 million for draw 10984.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2024, more than 195.3 million winners took home more than $4.84 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including TattsLotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.8 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
