A Kirwan man is set to surprise his girlfriend with an overseas holiday of a lifetime after he discovered he’d won an Instant Scratch-Its top prize worth $200,000.
The Townsville resident’s winning $15 Crosswords Book ticket was purchased at Cignall Mountview, Shop N, Mountview Plaza, 32-50 Bamford Lane, Kirwan.
When an official from The Lott reached out to confirm his prize, the stunned man shared he couldn’t put into words how happy the win made him feel.
“This is life-changing for me!” he cheered.
“Words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now. I feel pure happiness.
“My partner and I have always enjoyed sharing a Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“It’s become something of a tradition over the years.
“I never thought I’d see this much money in my life. It’s crazy.
“We’ll be paying off a bit of our mortgage once we see the money.
“Funnily enough, we’ve never gone on a holiday together, so I’d love to surprise her with a trip.
“It’s always been a dream of ours to travel.
“I don’t think she’ll see it coming at all!”
