A Dubbo couple say their life has been turned around by winning $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw after years of “bad luck.”
The regional New South Wales residents won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1304, drawn Wednesday 8 May 2019.
It’s been a winning month for Dubbo, just three weeks ago a Dubbo mum won the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize of $4.92 million in draw 10284.
When a NSW Lotteries official broke the news to the woman this afternoon, she revealed the prize couldn’t have come at a better time.
“Oh my god. Are you kidding me?” she screamed with delight.
“Oh my god, are you serious?
“Thank you so much!
“We’ve had the roughest few years of our lives, filled with so much bad luck. You have no idea how much this means to us!
“I’ve had to sit down.
“I’ve never won anything in my life.
“I can’t thank you enough! We’ve had a shocking few years so I am hoping this means it is finally turning around.”
The woman revealed the unexpected windfall meant her and her husband would finally be able to relax.
“This means we will both be able to slow down and not work as much and pay off all the bills,” she said.
“We’re going to go on a holiday. We haven’t been on a holiday in a very long time. We’d love to go anywhere!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $61.96 million for draw 1305 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $890,000 for draw 10288.
