A Dubbo woman is excited to get her first passport and go on a holiday overseas with her friends after discovering she won $1 million in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The Dubbo woman held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3899, on Wednesday 28 August 2019 and takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
When a NSW Lotteries official called the woman this morning to break the news, she admitted she was on her way to work.
“Thank you so much!” she said.
“It is fantastic!
“A weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
“I am feeling great!
“I’m on my way to work now, but I am still going to go to work.
“I am going to celebrate with some friends this weekend though.
“My head is still reeling. It feels surreal!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the hardworking woman said she would get her first passport and go overseas.
“It will help me so much,” she admitted.
“I am going to get a new car and I will put some on the mortgage.
“I would like to go on a holiday with some friends too.
“I might even get my first passport and go overseas!”
The happy woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at News at the Mall, T35 Orana Mall Marketplace, Mitchell Highway, Dubbo.
This is the second major prize winning entry News at the Mall has sold in two days. On 27 August 2019 a Dubbo woman won $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1446.
News at the Mall owner Greg Stevenson said he was thrilled to have sold another major prize winning entry this week.
“We are feeling very luck,” he said.
“There’s a buzz in the shop already and all of our customers are so happy for us.
“We are thrilled one of our regular customers has become a millionaire and we wish her all the best with her prize.
“Hopefully we sell a third major prize winning entry this week and make it a trifecta.
“Last year we sold a division one winning entry in a Superdraw, so hopefully we sell a division one winning entry in this Saturday’s Superdraw. We’d love to sell the division one winning entry in tonight’s Powerball too!
“We’ve been very lucky over the years and we are proud to add another win to the list.”
