A Maribyrnong dad is happily rewriting his retirement plans after pocketing $2.5 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Melburnian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4621 on Saturday 1 November 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $2.5 million.
While he had checked his ticket, the winner admitted he somehow didn’t see he’d won division one and only realised the extent of his good fortune when an official from The Lott contacted him.
“Wow! Thank you!” he exclaimed.
“What are the chances!?
“I did have a look earlier, but somehow, I just saw that I had won a division five prize. I completely missed it!
“I was just going about my day as normal, cleaning around the house, with no idea.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for years. I can’t remember why I picked them, but I’m glad I did!
“I remember when I was a kid, my dad used to play for years and years. All the relatives would pool together to buy a ticket. And now I’ve won!”
When asked how he might enjoy $2.5 million, the happy winner had no hesitation.
“Well, I might retire, actually,” he said.
“It was probably four or five years off, but now I can do it earlier and spend more time with the family.
“Thank you! This is very much appreciated!”
His winning marked 12-game entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4621 on 1 November 2025 were 42, 31, 21, 28, 17 and 13, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 15.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4621 – three each in Victoria and New South Wales, and one each in Queensland and Western Australia.
