While an Eden mum says she knew she’d win big one day, she admits she was left stunned and sleepless by her $585,000 Saturday Lotto prize on the weekend.
The South Coast resident held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4655 on Saturday 28 February 2026. Each division one winner pocketed $585,849.02.
“To be honest, I don’t normally check my ticket on a Saturday night,” she laughed when speaking to an official from The Lott on Sunday morning.
“But for some reason I was watching TV and thought I would have a look at my ticket.
"I couldn’t believe it!
“We didn’t get a lot of sleep after that. My husband even woke up this morning and asked, ‘Is this real?’.
“It’s just fabulous! We’re so lucky!”
Having played Saturday Lotto for more than a decade, the happy winner shared she’d always been quietly confident good fortune was headed her way.
“My husband rolls his eyes when I say this, but I always knew I was going to win Lotto someday – I just didn’t know when,” she said.
“Of course, I’ll keep playing and I’d love to do this again. I would love this to be a regular catch-up between me and you! I would love to speak to you about a big win again.”
Despite the shock, the Eden local said she was determined to stay level‑headed with her prize and dedicated it to her family.
“We’re quiet, hardworking people and we know what that money means to us,” she shared.
“I can’t believe we’ve done it, but we’re staying grounded.
“We’ll definitely be paying the mortgage. That will make our lives so much easier.
“It’s so beautiful to have a buffer in your pockets and just enjoy life a bit more. There’s a lot of joy that will come from this.
“I have a healthy, beautiful family so I was already a winner – and this is just such a happy moment for us.”
The woman’s winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4655 on 28 February 2026 were 21, 13, 44, 31, 7 and 35, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 34.
