An Elizabeth Downs family have spent the past three days celebrating the discovery their long-held family syndicate scored them a division one prize worth nearly $1.5 million in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.
The loving family held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in X Lotto draw 4125, drawn Saturday 30 January 2020. Each entry takes home a division one prize worth $1,486,907.61.
Sharing their excitement with an official from The Lott, one of the family members recounted the moment they discovered their life-changing win.
“It’s like a dream!” she exclaimed.
“We keep looking at the numbers to make sure it’s real.
“It’s an indescribable feeling!
“Mum called us when she checked the ticket and we all got together. We’re all still together celebrating!
“We’ve been playing the same numbers for years. It’s each one of our family member’s birthdates.
“But Mum puts the ticket on because she’s the lucky one! Everything she touches is lucky so we make her do it!”
When asked how they planned to enjoy their windfall, the woman revealed everyone was looking forward to being debt free.
“It’s a lot of money! That’s everyone’s mortgage paid off!” she declared.
“We went out for a nice family dinner last night to celebrate although I think we’ll keep celebrating!
“We’re still on cloud nine!”
The winning entry was purchased at Munno Para Newsagency, Shops 17 - 19 / Munno Para Shopping Centre, Main North Road, Smithfield.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4125 on 30 January 2021 were 20, 3, 31 30, 15 and 6, while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 26.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4125 – three from Victoria and one from South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 261 so far this financial year, including 27 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Saturday X Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
