An Elizabeth man has happily begun shopping for his first home after scoring a $50,000 Keno prize  while out for dinner last night.

The ecstatic winner scored the $50,000 Keno Spot 8 prize in draw 210527315, drawn Thursday 27 May 2021.

Speaking with an official from The Lott this morning, the Adelaide man said he was in high spirits following the win.

“I was at the club when the win happened, but I was eating dinner, so I didn’t see the draw actually happen,” he explained.

“Later in the night when I was going to leave, I checked the ticket on the terminal, and it came up with a weird message.

“So that’s when I thought I must have won something decent.

“I went and talked to the bloke at the counter, and he looked at me and said, ‘you’re a winner!’.

“It was unbelievable.

“It’s funny because the night before I had my win, I kept saying how $50,000 would change my life and how good of a prize it would be to win.

“Then I actually won $50,000! It feels like it was meant to be.

“I am going to go out for a nice lunch with my family to celebrate.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his $50,000 windfall, the stoked bloke didn’t hesitate.

“This is going to go towards a house deposit,” he declared.

“It’ll be my first house, so it’s exciting.”

The winning entry was purchased at Central District Footballers Club, Elizabeth Oval, Goodman Road, Elizabeth.

Central District Footballers Club duty manager Rosslyn Viergever said the exciting news had made her day.

“What an incredible win for him,” she declared.

“It’s just put a huge smile on my face, and I can imagine it has done the same for our winner.

“We really hope he comes in so we can congratulate him in person.

“Good luck to our winner! We wish him all the best.

“It’s exciting to know one of our customers has scored such an awesome prize.”

In 2020, there were 37 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $5.81 million.

The Spot 10 prize was won twice during this time – a win worth more than $1.3 million was won by a Croydon Park man in February, while a win with more than $2.4 million was won by Taperoo man in November.
