The elusive winner of Thursday’s $50 million Powerball draw has been located at last and is excited to step into life as Australia’s newest multi-millionaire.
The Mid North Coast resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1384, drawn Thursday 24 November 2022. They scored the entire $50 million jackpot.
Confirming their incredible win with an official from The Lott this morning, the winning player confessed they were still struggling to come to terms with their newfound fortune.
However, how they choose to enjoy their prize will remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate their life-changing win in private.
The winning entry was purchased at Tull’s Newsagency, Shop 1, 32 Wharf Street, Forster.
Tull’s Newsagency manager Vanessa Deland said they were ecstatic to hear the wonderful winner had been located and wished them all the best for their future.
“This is fantastic. It’s the biggest win we’ve ever had and it’s great because it’s been a while between wins,” she exclaimed.
“There’s been a real buzz around the store and throughout the town since it was announced and it’s fantastic to see.
“We’re over the moon and I hope this win makes all their dreams come true!”
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1384 on Thursday 24 November 2022 were 14, 6, 9, 25, 27, 31 and 33. The all-important Powerball number was 15.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1384 – one in New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 400 so far this calendar year, including 110 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY22, 16 Powerball division one winning entries across Australia pocketed more than $681.7 million in prize money.
During this time, Powerball offered a $120 million jackpot – the biggest prize offered by any Australian lottery game during the financial year – that was won by division one winning entries.
Of the 16 Powerball division one winning entries in FY22, seven landed in New South Wales, four in Victoria, three in Queensland and two in Western Australia.
