Lottery officials have narrowed their search for Thursday’s elusive $50 million Powerball winner and this morning revealed the winning entry was purchased in the town of Forster.

The Mid North Coast resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Powerball draw 1384, drawn Thursday 24 November 2022. They scored the entire $50 million jackpot.

The multi-million-dollar winning entry was registered, however, officials from The Lott have not been able to reach the ticketholder on the contact details provided to let them know of their life-changing win.

The winning entry was purchased at Tull’s Newsagency, Shop 1, 32 Wharf Street, Forster.

The Lott officials are urging anyone who purchased an entry into last Thursday’s Powerball draw from Tull’s Newsagency to check their ticket as soon as possible and make contact to claim their prize.

It’s the second multi-million-dollar prize to land in Forster this month. On 1 November, a Forster man scored $20 million in Oz Lotto.

Tull’s Newsagency manager Vanessa Deland said she couldn’t believe it was her outlet that had sold the division one winning entry.

“Fair dinkum? What fantastic news!” she exclaimed.

“This is awesome. It’s the biggest win we’ve ever had, and it’s great because it’s been a while between wins.

“We’re always telling our customers, ‘we’re due for one soon’, and it’s happened!

“It’s amazing for Forster and for the incredible winner.

“We hope they come forward and claim their prize as soon as possible, and hope they’re as excited as we are!”

The Lott spokesperson James Eddy said he was eager to speak with Powerball’s latest major winner and confirm the life-changing prize.

“We’ve tried to reach out to Australia’s newest multi-millionaire and pass on the winning news but to no avail,” he said.

“It’s possible that our wonderful winner has woken up this weekend completely oblivious to the fact they are $50 million richer!

“I have no doubt when our winner does finally discover their incredible win, it will send them into a state of shock and be the beginning of a few joyful celebrations.

“Winning this amount of money is amazing at any stage, but what an amazing early Christmas gift it is!

“In New South Wales, lottery players have up to six years to claim their prizes directly from us. However, we’re in the business of paying prizes, so we do hope the wonderful winner comes forward soon so we can start the process of paying the prize into their bank account!”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1384 on Thursday 24 November 2022 were 14, 6, 9, 25, 27, 31 and 33. The all-important Powerball number was 15.

Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Powerball draw 1384 – one in New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 393 so far this calendar year, including 108 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
