An emotional Trafalgar woman is ready to tick off all the items on her bucket list, after discovering she won division one in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The Victorian player held one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3977, drawn Wednesday 27 May 2020. They each take home a division one prize of $800,000.
This morning an official from the Lott called to break the exciting news to the winner, who immediately burst into happy tears.
“Gosh I am still in bed. I am half asleep!” she said.
“You’re not some telemarketer, are you?
“Oh my god! Are you serious? Eight hundred thousand dollars!
“You don’t know what this means to me.
“This means everything, absolutely everything.
“I don’t know what I will do today! I will just cry all day. Lots of happy tears!
“I have been going through a really, really tough time.
“I always hoped this would happen, but never really thought it would.
“I just can’t believe it. This is unreal.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the emotional woman said it would make some of her long-held dreams come true.
“I will use this prize to pay off the mortgage,” she explained.
“I have a bucket list of all the places I want to travel and all the things I want to do.
“This will mean I can make a lot more of those dreams a reality!”
The thrilled woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 18-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3977 on Wednesday 27 May 2020 were 35, 19, 8, 9, 23 and 31 while the supplementary numbers were 6 and 40.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3977 – three from Queensland and one each from Victoria and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 146 so far this calendar year, including 54 won by Tatts customers.
In 2019, there were 108 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $106 million.
