A Narre Warren South man has extra reasons to celebrate his family’s birthdays after their birthdates inspired his TattsLotto entry that scored $2.5 million.

The Melbourne man held one of the eight division one winning entries from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw 4025, drawn Saturday 15 February 2020 and takes home a $2,500,000 prize.

As well as scoring the coveted division one prize, the happy man’s System 11 entry also scored him division three 30 times and division four 150 times, bolstering his total prize to $2,539,016.50.

Sharing his excitement with an official from the Lott this morning, the overjoyed man revealed he had always expected the life-changing news.

“Thank you! Thank you!” he exclaimed.

“I had no idea I was a winner until you called. As soon as I answered the phone, I had a feeling you might be calling with good news.

“I knew that one day I would win and one day I would get this phone call. Now it has finally happened.

“I’ve played the same numbers for years. They are mostly special numbers including birthdays of my mother and father, my sons and my own.

“I knew these numbers would come up one day. I just had a feeling.”

When asked how he planned to enjoy life as a multi-millionaire, the happy man declared he would share it with the family that inspired the winning numbers.

“I’m going to do my best to use this wisely and enjoy it the best I can,” he said.

“I will talk to my wife and my sons about the win and we can decide how we will enjoy it together.

“I want to help others with this win as well!”

The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked System 11 entry at Hampton Park Lotto, Kiosk 1, 55 Hallam Road, Hampton Park.

Hampton Park Lotto owner Annabelle Johnstone said she was very excited when she heard her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“I heard the news late Saturday night so the first thing I did on Sunday morning was put up posters to tell our customers we’d sold a major prize!” she exclaimed.

“There is a definite buzz around the outlet this morning!

“We are pleased to hear our winner is one of our regular customers and it’s great to see a significant win for our Hampton Park community.

“This outlet has sold a few division one winning entries over its 40-year history, but this is the first one we’ve sold in two and a half years.

“Congratulations and good luck to our winner! We hope it helps make all of his hopes and dreams a little closer.”
