Confirming its reputation as a Queensland lottery hotspot, the Gold Coast has scored another Gold Lotto division one win – its fifth in five weeks.

But the latest Gold Coast winner, from the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw, may not yet know they’re the latest winner from the region.

The unregistered entry was one of the six division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3867 on 11 August 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $671,513.12.

The winning entry is not registered to a Winners Circle Card which means Golden Casket officials have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news.

The win kicks off a record-breaking week in Australian lottery with Thursday’s Powerball offering a record-breaking $100 million.

The winning entry was purchased at Golden Lucky News, Shop 1040, Westfield Helensvale, 1-29 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale.

A Golden Lucky News employee said she was thrilled the outlet has sold its first division one winning entry.

“We’ve been here about 20 months so it’s great to see a big win,” she said.

“How exciting! But the winner may not know it yet.

“We’ve been letting all the people know we’ve had a win and to check their tickets.”

Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said Gold Lotto division one wins had fallen far and wide across the Gold Coast during the past five weeks – from Elanora to Helensvale.

“The run began in July with a win from Mermaid Waters, and has been quickly followed by winning entries from Burleigh Waters, Elanora, Nerang, and now Helensvale,” he said.

“Four of these wins have been from Saturday Gold Lotto, while the other was a Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto prize. All up, these five winning entries have taken home more than $3.29 million.

“With a record-breaking $100 million up for grabs in this Thursday’s Powerball, we’ll have to wait and see if the Gold Coast’s winning streak continues!

“In the meantime, we can’t wait to unite the latest Gold Coast division one winner with their prize so we’re urging everyone to check their Saturday Gold Lotto tickets.”

“If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact Golden Casket on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 115 millionaires across Australia.

The six winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3867 on Saturday 11 August 2018 were 1, 23, 8, 15, 44, and 20.  The supplementary numbers were 11 and 18.

Across Australia there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3867 – two each from Queensland and Victoria, and one each from New South Wales and Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 249 so far this calendar year, including 60 won by Golden Casket customers.

Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $341.27 million.
