A Flinders Ranges woman can now celebrate becoming a newly made millionaire after flipping back and forth all weekend wondering if her $1.3 million win in the recent X Lotto draw was real.
The South Australian held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4379, drawn Saturday 8 July 2023 and took home a total division one prize of $1,350,505.08.
The merry woman was on her way to work this morning when she received a call from lottery officials who confirmed her newfound fortune.
“Thank you so much!” she cheered.
“I discovered it on Saturday night after the draw. I actually wasn’t sure if it was true.
“I was quite composed. I think it just hasn’t hit me yet!
“The only person who knows is my husband. We had to wait for formal confirmation before we went and told the rest of our family!
“I’m still waking up and going to work today – just another normal day!”
When asked about her plans for the future, the winning woman had one thing in mind.
“We would love to pay off the mortgage and complete some renovations!” she shared.
“It’s lovely.”
Her winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com - the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4379 on 8 July 2023 were 29, 41, 37, 34, 5 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 42.
