Four days after the draw a mystery Footscray player has come forward to claim their TattsLotto division one prize worth over $950,000 – making sure they had a long weekend they’d never forget!
The secretive winner held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3953, drawn Saturday 8 June 2019. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $953,391.46.
The ticket was unregistered, so Tatts officials had no way of contacting the winner with the life-changing news and had to wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
However how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
Tatts spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said while we may not know how this winner plans to enjoy their windfall, there was no doubt it would be life-changing.
“We can only imagine how our happy winner will enjoy their division one TattsLotto prize!” she exclaimed.
“Some winners tell us they will use their windfall to realise their great Australian dream of owning a home, buying an investment property or upgrading their home with renovations.
“While others say they will spend their windfall on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday overseas or that they plan to explore our sunburnt country via motorhome. “Mostly our winners tell us they can’t wait to share it with their beloved family and friends.
“No matter how our winner plans to enjoy their windfall, we do know that their life has changed forever!”
The mystery winner purchased their winning entry at Footscray Lotto, 151 Hopkins Street, Footscray.
Footscray Lotto owner Cynthia Lam said she was very excited to hear her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“We are very happy for the winner and are hoping they are one of our regular customers!” she exclaimed.
“We are going to celebrate in store by taking our team out to dinner!
“This is the third division one winning entry we’ve sold so far this year. We sold a division one winning syndicate entry worth $19,000 in Februrary and a division one winning syndicate entry worth $754,000 in April.
“We have been fortunate to sell many division one winning syndicate entries over the past 10 years.
“We believe that lotto luck lighting can strike twice so we encourage our customers to continue to dream.
“Congratulations to our customer! Good luck for your future!”
