A Helensvale couple’s wedding anniversary turned golden after a gifted Instant Scratch-Its ticket revealed a $100,000 top prize.
The Gold Coast duo’s winning $5 Diamond Fortune Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Helensvale Plaza News, Shop 2, Helensvale Plaza, 12 Sir John Overall, Helensvale.
“The last few days have been crazy!” the winning wife exclaimed when an official from The Lott rang to confirm the prize.
“It’s a bit unbelievable.
“It was a gift from family for our recent wedding anniversary.
“It turned out to be a very special gift.
“We can’t wait to make some phone calls and share the winning news with family.
“We’ve been talking about buying a new car for years now and we’ll finally be able to do it.
“We also want to help out our family where we can.”
Helensvale Plaza News owner Jesse Yao shared he was thrilled to discover his outlet had sold its first top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket worth $100,000.
