A Pyrmont woman is set to combine her birthday bash with a housewarming party after unlocking the door to home ownership with a $1.3 million Saturday Lotto win over the weekend.
The Sydneysider held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4617, drawn Saturday 18 October 2025. Each division one winning entry scored $1,303,392.97.
When an official from The Lott spoke with the winning woman, she shared that she hadn’t stopped checking her ticket all day.
“I can’t believe it! I never thought this would happen!” she said.
“It’s the biggest win of my life. It’s crazy.
“I buy a ticket most weeks but sometimes forget. I actually got this ticket very last minute on Saturday afternoon.
“It was just a QuickPick that only cost me $11.
“I missed your calls this morning but when I saw who was calling, I quickly checked my app, and I think I opened and closed it about 1,000 times after I saw how much I’d won.”
With $1.3 million heading her way, the ecstatic winner shared she could finally buy her first apartment and celebrate big on her upcoming birthday.
“I’m going to buy an apartment!” she said.
“It’s also my 40th birthday next year. I’ve been wanting to plan something big for that, so now I definitely can.
“It’s my biggest birthday present ever!”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4617 on 18 October 2025 were 18, 38, 32, 19, 7 and 10, while the supplementary numbers were 43 and 28.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4617 – three in Victoria, and one each in Queensland and New South Wales.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 348 so far in 2025, including 97 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In FY25, Saturday Lotto created 165 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 341 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $420 million.
