A man from Frenchs Forest is ready to start house hunting after scoring the million-dollar division one prize in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.

The happy Sydney resident held one of the two division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3792 on Monday 20 August 2018.  Each entry takes home the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.

As the man’s entry was unregistered, NSW Lotteries had no way to contact the winner and had to wait for him to come forward with that winning ticket.

However this afternoon, the winner explained to a NSW Lotteries official that he knew he was a winner as soon as he saw last night’s winning numbers.

“I just Googled the results last night!” he laughed.

“I thought I had all the numbers but there was a moment when I thought ‘But is it going to be true?’.

“I’ve been using the same numbers for years. I use them all the time.

“It’s just terrific!”

The man hinted he had won a “big lottery prize” before, but added he was especially excited to land this million-dollar Monday Lotto prize.

“I’m going to buy a new house,” he declared.

“It’s going to be a nice place that I can call home.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Skyline Newsagency, 18A Frenchs Forest Road, Frenchs Forest.

Skyline Newsagency owner Susan Fleming said she was ecstatic to see another division one win land in their long-running outlet.

“Good on him!” she exclaimed.

“I’d loved it to have been me, but it’s great news for our customer and I’m glad he’s been united with his prize.

“We can’t wait to do it again!”

Another million-dollar prize from northern Sydney yet to be claimed

While one division one prize from last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw has been claimed, the other prize has yet to be collected.

This winning entry was purchased at Cremorne Newsagency, Shop 3, Cremorne Town Centre, 287-305 Military Road, Cremorne.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said the Cremorne division one winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card, so he had no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news.

“If you bought a ticket in last night’s Monday Lotto draw from Cremorne Newsagency, we urge you to check it now! We may have your million-dollar division one prize waiting for you!

“If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and Saturday Lotto have created 117 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3792 on Monday 21 August 2018 were 37, 17, 19, 38, 6 and 26, while the supplementary numbers were 2 and 10.

Across Australia there were two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3792 – both from New South Wales.
