A Langwarrin mum is overwhelmed with gratitude, knowing her million-dollar Weekday Windfall prize in last night’s draw will finally allow her to move closer to her beloved children.
The Melburnian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4450, drawn Wednesday 2 October 2024 and looks forward to a neat $1 million.
So far in 2024, there have been 23 major lottery wins in Melbourne’s southeast region that have collectively taken home more than $35.53 million in prize money.
The cheerful Victorian was completely oblivious to her newly minted millionaire status until she received the surprise of a lifetime from lottery officials this morning.
“Oh, you’re kidding!” she shared.
“Oh my god! I’ve won $1 million?
“You have made my day!
“I can’t think right now. I don’t know how to feel.
“I will only tell my best friend and give my children a call eventually.
“This will truly help me in all aspects of life – such a great boost.
“My kids don’t live in Victoria anymore. They’ve all moved interstate, and this will help me move closer to them.
“Thank you so much for the phone call.”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Langwarrin Lotto, Shop 27, South Gateway, 230 Cranbourne-Frankston Road, Langwarrin.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4450 on Wednesday 2 October 2024 were 45, 40, 43, 3, 14 and 33, while the supplementary numbers were 20 and 21.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall draw 4450 – one in Victoria.
