An Eastlakes man has revealed he barely slept a wink after discovering he was holding a division one winning ticket in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw, becoming an overnight millionaire.
The New South Wales player held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4707 on Monday 25 May 2026. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1 million.
The South Sydney local explained a late-night ticket check just before bed quickly turned into a whirlwind of excitement, disbelief and a very long night.
“Sometimes I check my tickets the night of the draw, sometimes I don’t. I don’t know what made me decide to have a look last night,” he said while speaking to an official from The Lott.
“I checked it last night about 11.30pm and I couldn’t quite work it out.
“I kept thinking, ‘What does that mean?’. I even woke my wife up, and she said, ‘How do you know it’s real?’.
“Once we saw it, it just kept replaying in my head.
“I think I ended up going to bed around 2am. It’s hard to sleep after reading something like that.
“Woo-hoo!”
Armed with a coffee this morning, the happy man shared he and his wife had spent the early hours of the morning talking through the possibilities as their minds raced.
“I’m a bit tired this morning – I’m definitely having a coffee right now. But it’s a good kind of tired,” he said.
“My wife started talking and we just kept thinking about it. There were a million scenarios running through our heads.
“It was a bit numbing… and even now, it’s still sinking in.
“It’s going to help us pay off some bills and set ourselves up for the future.”
The man’s winning 15-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4707 on Monday 25 May 2026 were 19, 44, 5, 22, 33 and 2, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 27.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4707 – one each in New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
