A teacher from Merrylands couldn’t contain her excitement this morning when she discovered she won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Western Sydney resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1154, drawn Thursday 8 November 2018.
Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this morning to confirm her win, the Merrylands woman admitted she believed her ‘guardian angels’ were looking down at her when she won the 1st Prize.
“Oh my god, this is unbelievable,” she said as she laughed uncontrollably.
“Oh my god, this is just wow!
“Geez Louise! I am over the moon!
“I won this from a free ticket too!
“It’s come at a great time. We lost our mum a few years ago and our uncle recently.
“I think they’re looking down on us! They’re our guardian angels. The anniversary of my mum’s passing is coming up in the next few weeks, so it really feels as though it was meant to be.”
When asked how she planned to spend her $200,000 prize, the giggling woman didn’t hesitate to declare her plans.
“I will pay off my mortgage and then renovate the house,” she explained.
“We need a van to transfer some produce too.
“But my first priority is my babies - my cats! They deserve to be spoiled too!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry at Sydney Markets Newsagency, Shop 12, Sydney Markets Plaza, 250-318 Parramatta Road, Sydney Markets.
Sydney Markets Newsagency co-owner Lei Zheng said she was thrilled to have sold her third major prize.
“We are very excited! Hopefully she comes in soon so we can congratulate her in person,” she said.
“We were certainly due for a win, we haven’t had one in a few years, so I am glad it’s broken our drought!
“Hopefully we can sell the Jackpot prize next – wouldn’t that be amazing!”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $25.96 million for draw 1155 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $1.28 million for draw 10256.
