A Gladstone man has jokingly admitted that he can’t wait to upgrade his ‘run-down shack’ to an even better ‘shack’ after scoring $200,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.

The Central Queenslander scored the 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1655, drawn Monday 25 March 2024.

As well as winning the 1st Prize of $200,000, the happy man also scored the consolation prize of $1,000.

The lottery enthusiast shared he had poor internet connection on Monday afternoon and was unable to check his winning ticket until the next morning.

“That’s very pleasant news!” he laughed.

“Thank you very much!

“I got an email from The Lott asking me to call in because I had a major prize, but I had horrible internet connection late yesterday afternoon, and I couldn’t do anything!

“I felt a bit stuck for a while because I really wanted to know how much I’d won.

“But I’ve called in this morning, and now you have confirmed the $200,000 win! It’s great!

“I usually treat myself to a Lucky Lotteries ticket once every second week. In fact, I had a little win about three weeks ago!”

With $200,000 about to boost his bank account, the winner revealed it would help him with house hunting.

“I live in a run-down shack, so I can find an even better run-down shack!” he joked.

“I also have some friends coming up for Easter, and we’re looking to go camping, so we might celebrate the win then!

“Thanks for the call!”

His winning entry of 10 consecutive numbers was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
