A Gympie office worker isn’t planning on being too productive at work today as she daydreams about how she’ll enjoy her life-changing million-dollar Wednesday Gold Lotto prize.
The hardworking mum held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3949 on Wednesday 19 February 2020. She takes home a prize of $1 million.
Sharing her elation with an official from the Lott this morning, the tired but excited woman recounted how she made the exciting discovery shortly after the draw.
“I checked my ticket online last night,” she explained.
“I wasn’t convinced. I didn’t think it was real. I didn’t let myself believe it until I received your phone call.
“It’s unbelievable!
“I didn’t sleep at all last night after I checked my ticket. Now I’m at work struggling to concentrate!
“I couldn’t even call in sick! I felt bad!
“I am so excited. This is completely life changing for me and my husband!”
Although she showed up to work today, the woman revealed her days in the office were numbered now she was a millionaire.
“Last night we thought we’d keep working but when my husband and I were getting ready for work this morning he said to me ‘if this is actually real, I don’t think I could keep working’,” she laughed.
“It’s going to bring our retirement forward by quite a few years!
“We will quickly get our debts out of the way and spend our days travelling.
“I just can’t believe it. It’s unreal!
“It’s come at a great time in our life. We’re looking forward to being able to help the kids out as well.”
