A Drysdale man found himself suddenly wide awake and dreaming of early retirement when his bedtime ticket check led him to discover he’d won $1 million in Weekday Windfall.
The Geelong resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4656, drawn Monday 26 January 2026. He looks forward to a neat $1 million payday.
Despite barely sleeping a wink, the winning man declared ‘happy days’ when speaking to an official from The Lott.
“I’m feeling extra good today! Happy days!” he cheered.
“I checked my ticket just before I went to bed last night, and It’s fair to say I didn’t sleep much after that.
“I was wide awake at 3am.
“I’m used to winning an odd $20 here or there, but this is next level!
“My wife is ready to crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate.”
With $1 million soon to land in his lap, the elated winner shared helping his children and fast-tracking retirement were now on the cards.
“We’ll definitely be splitting the prize with the kids,” he said.
“And for me, I’m looking at bringing my retirement forward.
“Thank you so much! This has to be one of the best phone calls I’ve ever received.”
His winning marked System 7 entry was purchased at Drysdale Newsagency & Tatts Lotto, 12-14 High Street, Drysdale.
