A young Logan man is still heading into work today despite this morning discovering he won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland player held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3987 on Saturday 5 October 2019. Each division one winner takes home a prize of $973,232.37.
A Golden Casket official called this morning to break the news to the winner, who had no idea he’d won division one.
“Wow! Oh my god,” he laughed.
“I had no idea I’d won. I never expected this phone call!
“This is amazing. Thank you so very much.
“This feels like a dream! I hope I don’t wake up and find out this isn’t real.
“I want to celebrate today, but I think I am still going to have to go into work.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke shared he’d need some time to think but did have a few ideas.
“I am not really sure. I need to have a good think about how I should use my prize,” he admitted.
“I might pay off my mortgage and do some renovations on the house.
“It’s been so busy at work, so I’d like to take some time off and go on a holiday too.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 24-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
