A new roof on the house is just one of the home renovation projects a Hazelbrook woman has planned with her million-dollar prize from the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.
The Blue Mountains winner held one of the 10 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4223 on Saturday 8 January 2022. Each division one winning entry scored $1 million.
“Oh, thank you very much,” the woman exclaimed when her prize was confirmed this morning by an official from The Lott.
“That’s just wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!
“My husband can finally retire!
“I saw an email this morning saying I’d won something, but I thought it would be just $10 or something. But a million dollars is something else!
“We’ve been playing for many years, marking our entries with the children’s birthdates – that’s why there’s not a number past 29.
“We need a new roof, and there’s some other things around the home as well – so that will happen now!
“We’re just a normal working family, so it will make a hell of a change to our lives.”
Her winning marked System 7 entry was purchased at Hazelbrook Pharmacy, Shop 1 & 3, 192 Great Western Highway, Hazelbrook.
Hazelbrook Pharmacy manager Kevin Tong said he was thrilled for his winning customer.
“What a way to start 2022! We hope our winner really enjoys the prize and does things they never had the chance to do before,” he said.
“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry, so I look forward to telling the team and our customers the good news!
“Hopefully, we’ll sell more division one winning tickets in the not too distant future.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4223 on 10 January 2022 were 27, 3, 29, 17, 20 and 24, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 9.
