A Helensvale woman says she’s always hoped and dreamt of one day winning the lottery and on the weekend that dream finally came true.
The Gold Coast retiree held one of the seven division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4095 on Saturday 17 October 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $928,717.17.
Sharing her excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the woman explained it had been a weekend to remember.
“Oh god,” she laughed.
“Thank you. Thank you so much!
“It’s just starting to sink in.
“We checked the ticket yesterday at the newsagency. We couldn’t believe it.
“We’ve been playing for such a long time, so to have a win like this is unreal.
“You hope and you dream but you never really think it will happen to you!”
When asked how she thought she might enjoy her division one windfall, the Gold Coast woman said it had arrived at a great time.
“We’re both retired so we will certainly be able to enjoy this throughout our retirement,” she explained.
“My husband has a few projects in mind that he’s finally going to get done!
“We can’t wait!”
The life-changing entry was purchased at Golden Lucky News, Shop 1040 Westfield Helensvale, 1-29 Millaroo Drive, Helensvale.
Golden Lucky News manager Lin Zhou said she hoped the prize would change their customer’s life in a big way.

Last financial year, Saturday Gold Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4095 on Saturday 17 October 2020 were 14, 12, 8, 38, 5 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 3 and 17.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4095 – three from Victoria, and one each from Queensland, the ACT, South Australia and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 319 so far this calendar year, including 84 won by Golden Casket customers.
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 318 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $346.12 million.
