A New Farm woman has admitted she’ll struggle to concentrate as she works from home today after discovering the news she was one of the weekend’s division one winners.
The inner-city Brisbane resident held one of the ten division one winning entries across the country in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 on Saturday 26 September 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $511,318.20.
Confirming her win with an official from The Lott this morning, the woman explained she’d only just checked her ticket on the app.
“It’s very exciting,” she laughed.
“Thank you so much!
“This has made my day, I can tell you that.
“I’ve just been at home working away at home with absolutely no idea!
“I am so pleased I put this entry in on Saturday. Sometimes I completely forget, but I am so glad I didn’t!
“I’ve been playing those same numbers on and off for about four or five years.
“I feel so incredibly lucky.
“This is super exciting. I am a little bit shaky to be honest.
“I have to keep working for the rest of the day, but I don’t know how I will concentrate!”
Still reeling from the winning news, the Brisbane woman said she’d enjoy planning what to do with her prize.
“I’m not completely sure at the moment,” she said.
“I would usually say I’d be going on a big overseas holiday but obviously we can’t do that at the moment but when we can I would love to go away.
“I definitely would like to use my prize to help some of my family and friends as well.
“It will be great!”
The winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
Last financial year, Saturday Gold Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 on Saturday 26 September 2020 were 28, 7, 36, 1, 42, and 22 while the supplementary numbers were 14 and 11.
Across Australia, there were ten division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4089 – four each from Queensland and Western Australia, and one each from Victoria and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 298 so far this calendar year, including 81 won by Golden Casket customers.
