A Hervey Bay man has admitted his luck might finally be changing after scoring $820,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queenslander held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4615 on Saturday 11 October 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $820,141.42.
“This is insane!” he declared when his prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.
“I thought it was a mistake, a gee up.
“I checked my ticket on Saturday night – it’s just something I do every Saturday night to see how I went.
“I haven’t been able to sleep since. I just keep checking the ticket.
“I still can’t believe it.
“I’ve been replaying this same ticket since the start of last year. My theory is that the numbers will come to me if I stick to them.
“I haven’t told the wife yet. I just wanted confirmation that it was true.
“This is life-changing. I have no luck. I’m not a lucky person, but I guess it’s changed, and it’s all been building to this.
“I’ll have to speak to a financial advisor. We’ll be able to pay off the house and invest the rest for our family’s future.”
The man’s 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased online via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4615 on 11 October 2025 were 43, 21, 37, 33, 32 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 30.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4615 – two each in Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
